Not everyone wants the same thing from a water tracking app. Some people just want a glance in the morning to answer "how much did I drink today?" and nothing more. Others want their hydration score, their weekly trend, exactly which beverage they logged and when — they want all of the data.

With Suu's latest update we removed that dilemma entirely: the home screen now works in two modes, and which one you use is completely up to you. You can switch from one to the other at any time.

Two Modes, One App

At the bottom of the home screen there's a small "Simple / Advanced" toggle. One tap changes how dense the interface is — but none of your data goes anywhere. Same goal, same history, same statistics; only the presentation changes.

💧

Simple Mode

Clean, one-tap water logging.

  • A single large circular progress ring
  • Percentage + consumed / goal (e.g. 200 / 3450 ml)
  • One big droplet button to add water
  • No clutter, fast logging
📊

Advanced Mode

More data, more control.

  • "Quick Add" cards + favorite amount
  • Ready 250 / 500 / 750 / 1000 ml buttons
  • Multi-beverage logging and custom amounts
  • Hydration score, login rewards, card editing

Simple Mode — Clean and Fast

Simple Mode strips water tracking down to its bare essentials. You open the screen: one ring in the center, your percentage, and a big add-water button. No extra cards, panels or numbers. The goal is singular: log in seconds and close the app.

It's ideal for people who see water tracking as "just a reminder and a number," who want a minimalist experience and don't want to linger in the app. If you're searching for an "uncomplicated, simple water app," this is the mode you're after.

Advanced Mode — More Data and Control

Advanced Mode turns the same screen into a control panel. In the "Quick Add" section your favorite amount and ready 250/500/750/1000 ml buttons are one tap away; you can enter a custom amount and log beverages other than water. At the top you get a progress card, login rewards and shortcuts to your hydration score.

It's built for people who want more statistics and insight — those who want to analyze their habits, see their trends and optimize their hydration. Users on advanced mode unlock more statistics.

How Do You Switch Between Modes?

Just tap the "Simple / Advanced" toggle at the bottom of the home screen. The switch is instant; you don't need to restart the app. Use Advanced on a busy day and Simple on a calm one, and change as often as you like.

💡 Important: Switching modes does not affect any of your data. Your water logs, goal, statistics and history stay exactly the same — the only thing that changes is the interface.

Conclusion

When an app forces everyone into a single interface, it either overwhelms the people who want simplicity or starves the people who want data. Simple and Advanced mode make Suu the right app for both: whether you want a minimalist experience or a deep dive into your hydration, you stay in the same app, your way.
